The Spring Retreat includes:
Meditation – Unwind, relax and be guided by local physio, yoga & meditation teacher Caroline Foster of The Yoga Den.
Mindful walk – Find inner peace on a guided mindful walk and a Loch dip with Anna of WanderWomen .
Painting with Wool – Learn the art of needle felting creating a felted scene drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape. Perfect for beginners and seasoned felters alike.
Unwind in tranquility – Your luxury cottage at Carfrae Farm provides the perfect escape. Watch the sunset and panoramic views of the Lammermuir Hills from your hot tub or the outdoor sauna, relax by the log burning fire with a good book, soak in a deep bubble bath, star gaze or simply sit and listen to the birdsong on your doorstep.
Savour local produce – Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. Local chef Verity from Take a Slice will create delicious meals for you to enjoy using fresh seasonal ingredients.
Your Weekend Itinerary
Friday 9th May
Arrive at 3pm and settle into your cottage before enjoying a relaxing yoga session. Take a stroll, have a soak in the hot tub or heat up in the sauna and then enjoy a beautifully prepared dinner.
Saturday 10th May
Tuck into a delicious buffet breakfast before starting the Painting with Wool workshop. Refresh with a delicious lunch before setting off on a mindful walk and dip at Danskine Loch with Anna of Wander Women. Enjoy a relaxed stroll back to your cottage for tea and cake with plenty of free time before dinner.
Sunday 11th May
Enjoy a freshly prepared buffet breakfast with plenty of free time to take it all in before departure at 10am.

- Stravaig Cottage has 2 bedrooms (one bedroom ground floor, one bedroom 1st floor)
- Lammer Cottage has 3 bedrooms (one bedroom ground floor, two bedrooms 1st floor)
- Cottage and bedroom preference can be requested at time of booking and allocated on a first come basis
- Dates and times are from 3pm on 9th May 2025 to 10am on 11th May 2025
- There will be a maximum of 7 participants.
- All lunches and dinners provided by Take A Slice using delicious local, seasonal products.

- Moderate fitness required to partake in the Mindful Walk
