“Highly Commended” at the Countryside Alliance Awards

We are delighted to share the news that Carfrae Farm Shop won “Highly Commended” in the Best Village Shop in Scotland category at the Countryside Alliance Awards 2024. 

The Awards Ceremony was held at the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh, on 13 March 2024. The event was packed with rural businesses from the length and breadth of Scotland, all waiting in anticipation for the results of the Highly Commended and Winner in the categories of Local Food & Drink, Pub, Butcher, Rural Enterprise, and Best Village Shop & Post Office. 

Jake Swindells, Director of the Countryside Alliance Scotland, gave an introductory speech and said:

“Running a business in a rural community isn’t easy, particularly in recent times. The evening was all about celebrating the valued role these rural enterprises have in their communities. The Countryside Alliance is proud to be honouring a group of people so clearly passionate about the goods and services they provide throughout our incredible countryside.”

The Countryside Alliance acknowledged our commitment to stocking local and Scottish produce, and the fact that we have only been open since 2022 and achieved so much in a short space of time. We were surprised and delighted to have been nominated, and to go on to win “Highly Commended” is incredible.
