Now that we’ve had some snow it definitely feels like winter is officially here, which also means Christmas – our favourite time of year on the farm when snow blankets the fields, the holiday cottages are cosy with crackling fires, our Farm Shop is bursting full of festive hampers and Christmas treats, and our dog Pip helps decorate the tree!

Stenton Christmas Market
Saturday 9th December, 10 am – 3 pm
We love Stenton’s Christmas Market held in the beautiful Stenton Village Hall. There are lots of stalls to discover (including Carfrae Farm Shop – come say hi!) and you are guaranteed to find unique local Christmas gifts. The entry fee is £1 and refreshments are available.
Archerfield Walled Garden Christmas

There is always lots going on at Archerfield Walled Garden, and this Christmas they have a fantastic ‘Christmas Tipi’ performance which they say is going to be “Live, Loud and Bursting at the Seams”!

Musselburgh Races Christmas Jumper Day
Monday 18th December
Take in the excitement of the races and wear your Christmas jumper to get into the festive spirit! They promise “a Monday like no other featuring exciting jumps racing, mouth-watering locally sourced cuisine, great hospitality and a captivating atmosphere.”

North Berwick Santa Beach Run
Tuesday 24th December
This will be the 7th annual North Berwick Santa Beach Run and is aimed at seasoned athletes, casual runners and families alike with three race distances along the scenic East Lothian coast line. Fancy dress is a must!
